This Sunday evening we’re picking up from where we left off in Colossians last year. Then, we were reminded of the supremacy and centrality of Jesus Christ. His supremacy over creation and the Church. His centrality in our gospel, our Christianity, and our growth. Now, in 1:24-29, we consider how Jesus permeates the entire ministry of Paul himself. His suffering, his preaching, and his purpose. From him we can learn, not only of what we gain in Christ and the gospel, but how our own ministry grows us towards maturity and the perfection of Jesus. And all of it because of 'Christ dwelling in us, the hope of glory!'
